Welcome to the Oceans event site. Oceans '24 will take place from Saint Christopher Camp & Conference Center, Seabrook Island, SC. We will be staying at Camp St. Christopher in climate-controlled facilities. Whatever your current comfort level, a regular ocean sea kayak surfer, or if you are simply aspiring to become a more competent sea kayaker able to handle a wider range of conditions, this event is for you. We will have the ability to keep you in protected flatwater to match your development level, introduce folks to smaller waves inside of the shoals at the mouth of the North Edisto River, or venture out onto the Atlantic Ocean. As always, the weather controls the ocean's moods, so we don't know exactly what that will look like until we're standing on the beach. Groups will be divided, and go out with instructors based upon their skill levels and interests.

I encourage everyone to register as early as possible. As always, I'll try to include as many as possible, but unreserved rooms will be open to reservation by other groups, so the opportunity to reserve another room could run out at any time.

Accomodations:  We will be staying in climate-controlled facilities at Saint Christopher Camp & Conference Center. It is a beautiful location at the end of Seabrook Island, at the mouth of the Edisto River, with Deveaux Banks and the Atlantic Ocean right there. You have options, varying in cost of course, to register for your own room in the conference center, share a room with another person in the conference center, stay in a bunk cabin with up to 10 people, or arranging your own place to stay offsite. All paddling and the dining hall are onsite within short walking distance. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Meals: Breakfast & Supper on Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday evening, and Sunday morning will be provided.  There will be vegetarian options.
